Robert J. Fioretti

Managing General Partner

Robert J. Fioretti is Managing General Partner of Locust Walk Impact Partners.  Mr. Fioretti has over 20 years of experience investing in private equity and providing financing or strategic advice to companies owned by private equity sponsors.  He is currently a Managing Director of Mistral Equity Partners, of which he was a founding member.  Prior to joining Mistral, he was a Managing Director of Trimaran Capital Partners, L.L.C., and prior to joining Trimaran in 2001, he was a member of the Leveraged Finance Group of CIBC World Markets Corp.  Mr. Fioretti has served on the Boards of Directors of numerous privately held companies. He received a B.Sc. and a M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Jacob Gray

Senior Director

Jacob Gray manages the Wharton/Locust Walk Impact Partners collaboration for Wharton. Jacob is the Senior Director for the Wharton Social Impact Initiative, where he leads the impact investing initiatives, drawing from more than 14 years of experience in impact investing and social enterprise. Mr. Gray is also a co-founder and General Partner of Murex Investments, an impact VC fund managing funds for financial institutions and high net-worth individuals. He is also a co-founder of GoodCompany Group, an incubator for high-growth social enterprises, and IC Philly, the first regional chapter of Investor’s Circle, one of the largest and oldest national networks of angel investors and professional venture capitalists. He earned his B.A. from Brown University.

Edward Nile

Co-President and Managing Director

Edward (“Eddie”) Nie serves as co-president of the Wharton Social Venture Fund. He spent the summer in-between Wharton working separately at a private equity firm and an early stage education startup. Prior to Wharton, Eddie was a senior analyst at Signal Hill, a boutique investment bank, focused on the education sector. He graduated magna cum laude from the Jerome Fisher Program in Management & Technology at the University of Pennsylvania, earning a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School and a B.S.E. in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering from the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.

Jayson Tischler

Co-President and Managing Director

Jayson serves as co-president of the Wharton Social Venture Fund. Prior to Wharton, he worked at Google, where he managed digital marketing strategy for large education customers. Through Teach for America, Jayson taught 2nd grade in the UNO Charter School Network. He also received a Fulbright Fellowship to study environmental policy in Singapore. Jayson graduated cum laude from Yale University, earning a BA with honors in Political Science and Psychology.
